Padua Sushi Restaurant Design

A sushi restaurant organised with light wood, grey stone and soft lighting, emphasising a calm and legible dining rhythm.

“Design is not about filling space, but about leaving perceptible clarity between function, circulation and atmosphere.”

The proposal translates everyday Padua street life into a restrained sushi restaurant. Entrance, counter and seating are linked by continuous timber surfaces, while grey stone and low-saturation lighting keep the attention on food and guests.

The focus is order rather than ornament. Stable circulation, controlled voids and a consistent furniture language keep the room calm and legible from day to night.

A spatial narrative in the original image ratios

A bar counter in black-and-gold veined marble anchors the room, backed by a row of five arched brass liquor niches. Across 240 square metres, the bar takes the narrative centre: before the sushi, guests are given a night scene worth lingering in.

Above the counter hangs a glowing volume wrapped in perforated copper panels, its dot pattern sieving light into a starfield; curved golden light coves trace the ceiling, clusters of spark-ball pendants drop below, and backlit amber glass panels top up light at the tables.

Bar, booths and loose seating unfold along one straight gallery, so the circulation reads at a glance; window banquettes host longer stays, while the compact copper-table area supports quick turnover at peak hours.
